great price and value
parking is a problem - not much that they can do about that. Maybe they can put a temporary fence up to block the area of the pool that has all the renovation stuff in it, it makes the hotel look junky. I didnt think the hotel was junky so it's giving the wrong impression,

Located closeto the major national parks, and the cost is lower than others, with good basic facilities.

The stay at this place during our road trip was great! It had a comfy central location with lots of nearby food spots. Everything we needed was close by 🍔.

The motel provided the 2-star plainness I anticipated. and I enjoyed the approx. 10 hours of darkeness I'd booked other than for the smoking room problem (see below).
I booked a non-smoking room but was given #112, a smoking room. I arrived very late and was tired and took the room anyway rather than hassle it. Would appreciate a rate adjustment via your website and am considering contacting my credit card company tomorrow (Monday) about adjusting/withholding payment due to this. Staff was not able to give me itemized receipt on checkout, only gave me copy of registration and credit card printout. Included breakfast was at motel next door which charged $2.00/night less room rate and provided watered down waffle batter as part of the breakfast. I viewed 2 other motels in town charging $8-$10/night less than Sands and were in better shape. I don't expect a lot from a 2 star property but I do expect the room category (non-smoking) to be correct and the front desk to be interested in more than just making sure revenue has been collected.

I was a bit worried because of some of the reviews. The room was updated, the bathroom was nice, that is important to me and clean. The smell in the room was good, it smelled like cleanser. It had an ok scent. The beds were fine. I liked it when I asked what the pool hours were they said whenever you want! I like to swim early and late. They were nice to us. The breakfast was ok Cereal and waffles, juice and coffee. That is all we needed so that was ok. The price was good. It was very quiet I didnt hear anyones noise at all. I would stay there again. The location didnt scare us we walked around late at night and bought treats. There is a few food places around within walking distance and a Rite Aid next door. It was a good value when I needed it!
The plugs didnt heat the close steamer. The TV didnt work well.

The room not only had a bedroom but also climate control, multi-channel TV, and a refrigerator, and the location was convenient for walking to St George Art Museum in 10-15 minutes.

It actually was the hotel next door (owned by the same people I was told). The spa was there, the internet was there, the breakfast was there. I should have booked the coronado because that's where all the things advertised for the sands were. The Sands is not a place I would have stayed had I known the true facts!
False advertising!!! I couldn't get any time for internet, which Sands advertised because Coronado guests got first shot. I had to eat at the Coronado, use the spa at the Coronado, etc. The Sands will never see me again--old, run by folks who have no clue how to run a successful business and hardly spoke English. What a rip off!

Sheets had something crusty on them. When I called for replacment, there were stains on the new sheets, however at least it was not crusty.

First off, at that budget price I did not expect much. I was very pleasantly surprised with how large my room was, It had a very clean King Bed, a very nice kitchen with clean appliances, a nice bathroom and a eating bar, a small table and a couch. I showed it to my team mates who stayed at the more expensive Fairfield Inn(2/1/2X) and they also liked my room. I was participating in the Senior Games so there from Sunday till Friday. The pool and hot tub as shared with the Coronada motel were great. They also do a breakfast that had decent variety from fruits to waffles. I would definitely stay here again.
One night, I guess the room next to me had alot of people in it. 3 or 4 women congregated outside my door and talked loudly till around 10:30pm and when they went back in the room, they continued and it was apparent there were some kids and maybe a husband or two. It seemed to be a reunion of sorts so I did not complain but I was relieved to hear a motel staff person knock on their door at 11pm and things quieted down. I was pleased that this noisey neighbor only stayed one night as I was wiped out from the games each day so sleeping was important. The staff seems to speak limited English and my first requested wakeup call did not happen but they are very nice, conciencious people who did all they could to make my stay a good one. I only stayed in one room so if all the others were in similar condition, I woudl rate this an excellent value as I have stayed at a few other budget motels in Saint George who raise their prices because of the games, which these folks did not do. I appreciated that and was eager to do a nice review for them, not something I often do.

Good location and lots of TV channels. The nightly price was attractive;l
The pillows were almost non exsistent and the matress was old and uncomforatable. I guess you get what you pay for.
